It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim after a courageous battle with cancer. Jim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy, his daughter Amber, son Travis (Leigh-Anne), brothers Brian (Karen), Gary, Calvin (Michelle) and sister Darlene (Robert).
Jim was born in Winnipeg. As a young man he spent time in the Navy reserves. He and Judy were transferred to Yorkton, then to Edmonton, Richmond, and eventually settled in Abbotsford. Jim was an avid sports fan and spent countless hours coaching Amber and Travis' sports teams. Jim spent many years at EV Logistics where he was fortunate enough to meet many wonderful co-workers. Jim's passion was road trips. The highlight on his road trips was driving from the top of the 401 Highway right down to the bottom in March 2014.
Our family would like to thank that Abbotsford Regional Hospital & Cancer Centre and the Christine Morrison Hospice for their excellent care of Jim. No service by request. Donations may be made in Jim's name to the BC Cancer Foundation, online at www.bccancerfoundation.com
