It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim Chalmers on May 30th, 2014 in Abbotsford, BC, at 62 years of age. He was a loving, faithful husband of 42 years and a devoted father and grandfather (Opa). His greatest passion was spending time with his family and friends and was gifted with humour. Jim had a love for music and was a talented guitar player for over 50 years. Jim was predeceased by his father Charles (Ted), his mother Ethel (Frankie), and his sister Bonnie. He is survived by his wife Helen, son Clayton (Stefanie), daughter Kimberley (Garth), grandchildren Benjamin, Kaiden, Tyson and Evan, brothers Wayne (Julia), Kenny (Kim), sister Sharon (Wes) and brother and sister in-laws. He will also be greatly missed by his many family members and friends. A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Friday, June 6th at 2pm at Henderson's Fraser Valley Funeral Home, Abbotsford.Arrangements under the direction of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Abbotsford, BC.
