Just as there are worldly inequalities in the process of living, so too are there inequalities in the process of leaving this world as we know it.

We can dwell on the sadness of the process itself as we move forward to face it, or we can collectively thank our lucky stars for the wonderful time we had together and the fact that our time was long enough to enjoy the happiness of watching our family grow up, become independent, and establish lasting memories of family times.

It doesn't make the process any more acceptable from a personal standpoint, but it is real, and does help both parties move through the situation to its conclusion.

Karen and I are thankful for the opportunities that were provided to us to get to know Dave a little and that he, as a self made very successful businessman, chose to work and live like the rest of us.
