David was born in Herbert, Saskatchewan on the 9th of May, 1920, the 5th son of David and Helena (Braun) Neufeld.
In 1934, the family moved to B.C., and it was here that he continued his education at the new Mt. Lehman School (now Dunach). In the winters of 1940 and 1941 he attended Yarrow Bible School. In 1946, he married Helen Klassen, who was his beloved wife for almost 69 years.
David was a skilled carpenter, and constructed many of the buildings around the Fraser Valley, as well as pieces of furniture and treasured keepsakes for his children and grandchildren.
David and Helen attended the Abbotsford Alliance Church since 1948, and were in fact one of the first five families in this congregation.
David was predeceased by his wife Helen in 2015, and by all his siblings, Frank, Bill, Henry, Ernie and Helen.
He is lovingly remembered by his three children, Eleanor (Reg) Schartner, Eileen (Dave) Barnes, and Ronald (Bettyanne) Neufeld; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandsons.
David will be most remembered for his kind and gentle spirit, love of his family and love for the Lord.
A small family celebration will take place in the future.
