Eunice P. Hilliard

Eunice P. Hilliard, a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend was born on December 22, 1945 in Elizabethtown, NC to the late Mabel B. Powell. She was the last of four children, Edworth Bordeaux (deceased), Erlise Kelso and Elizabeth Autry (deceased). She was educated at Bladen Central HS in Elizabethtown, NC where she graduated in 1964. She moved to Washington DC and worked as a Benefits Administrator for the US Department of Labor where she retired September 3, 2004.

Eunice was an avid gardener who loved to plant vegetables and flowers. Some of her favorite activities included bowling, casino, traveling and playing cards. Eunice was also a diehard Washington Redskins fan.

Her loving memory will be forever be cherished in the hearts of those she left behind which include her loving daughter Soney M. Hilliard; cherished dog Polo; step-daughter Tanya Satterwhite; step-sons Arlyn and Maurice Hilliard; sister Erlise Kelso; Nieces Cassandra Francis, Vicky Hicks, Staci Warren, The Autry’s Hattie, Janice, Elaine, Michelle; nephews Anthony Hicks, The Autry’s Edward, Leo, Raymond, Randolph, Thurman, Jerry; granddaughter La’Shae Lewis (three children); supportive and loving Hilliard/Brown Family; and host of other special great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

Soney would like to give a special thanks to her friend Charlotte Hackley for all her love and support.
