Mature trees and well-manicured gardens create a park-like ambiance of Newark Memorial Gardens, set in a rural area just north of Newark. Walkable paths create a comfortable ambiance for our guests. Dedicated team members stand ready to assist you in locating a loved one, maintaining a memorial, providing handicapped assistance or even lending a listening ear.

The memorial park has many burial options, including 10 gardens with flat memorials, a garden dedicated to upright monuments and a 2-story mausoleum. The extraordinary Tranquil Oaks Cremation Garden features niches, personalized granite pedestals, stone benches and more.

As your Newark neighbors, we take pride in community involvement. Every year, our Christmas Candlelight Remembrance Night pays tribute to the friends and neighbors we’ve lost. On Memorial Day, the Veterans Alliance teams with local Scout troops to place nearly 2,000 flags honoring our heroes. On Mother’s Day, moms receive special recognition. Find us at seminars held in conjunction with church groups, senior citizen groups, assisted living facilities, senior expositions and veterans organizations throughout the year.

History

Developed in 1954, Newark Memorial Gardens spans 44 rural acres just outside the city of Newark, Ohio. Our 2-story, 718-crypt mausoleum was built by Acme Marble and Granite in 1987. Membership in the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery services brought several enhancements, including asphalt roads, our cremation garden and a newly developed upright monument garden called Heritage.

Today, our main goal is to serve you with respect, compassion and attention to detail.
