Our Long Island funeral home
Though we specialize in traditional Jewish services, we are committed to providing personal and compassionate care to individuals and families from all faiths and walks of life. As a longtime member of the Jewish Funeral Directors of America, we can provide you with a complimentary copy of "The Jewish Funeral Guide," and we handle all the important details, from contacting the chevra kadisha for tahara and shomrim to assisting with your shiva observance and arranging for the recitation of Kaddish. You can trust our caring staff to help you honor your family’s cherished traditions.
Convenient and upgraded facilities
We are located at 55 North Station Plaza, across the street from Long Island Railroad’s Great Neck station. This close to the city, space is a luxury. To give our families and attendees enough parking, we rent parking from train station across the street and provide parking attendants. Inside the building, we have an elevator for easy movement between floors.
Having undergone multiple upgrades, the funeral home includes a chapel that holds 250 people as well as a hospitality space for receptions and a family room for peaceful respite. The chapel itself is modern and simplistic. Its understated beauty features high columns and clean lines. The chapel evokes feelings of tranquility and allows for customization, letting portraits and personal mementos make each funeral service unique and special.

History
Founded in the 1950s by Izzie Smith and Bernie Singer, Riverside-Nassau North Chapel took over and renovated an three-story firehouse. Located a few minutes east of Queens, Izzie and Bernie recognized the need for a funeral home to serve this tight-knit community without having to travel into Manhattan. The caring staff at Riverside-Nassau has been serving the community ever since, and in 1989 became part of the Dignity Memorial network of funeral, cremation and cemetery providers.
Monuments to honor loved ones
As the Long Island North Shore’s leading monument provider, Riverside-Nassau North Chapel offers complete monument, inscription and private mausoleum services for all cemeteries. We offer fine granite and bronze memorials and create unique, permanent tributes with a product and workmanship that is guaranteed.
