With a traditional, grand exterior featuring white pillars and beautifully manicured grounds, A.H. Peters Funeral Home presents a warm and welcoming space during your time of need. Located approximately 30 minutes from downtown Detroit and easily accessible from I-75N and I-696E, our funeral home is a lovely place to plan and host a funeral, memorial or reception.

A number of renovations have taken place at our Warren funeral home over the years, including the addition of an expansive formal chapel in 1989. The building saw many other makeovers from 2008 to 2014 as well, with various interior updates and the addition of a porte-cochère at the front entrance.

Accommodating spaces

From the moment you step into our building, you are met with an updated, open and comfortable setting. A.H. Peters Funeral Home offers a number of flexible spaces for both intimate and larger gatherings. Our bright, formal chapel features pew seating for up to 200 guests. The building also includes lounge areas and visitation rooms to best accommodate your needs.

Cremation options

From a direct cremation without a memorial service or a witness cremation to a full funeral service and catered reception, we help you understand this increasingly common choice and handle all of the cremation arrangements.

For families who choose cremation, we can also discuss keepsake options such as urns or cremation remembrance jewelry that can be personalized to reflect your loved one’s personality or interests.

Veterans & public servants programs

At A.H. Peters Funeral Home, we also specialize in serving the veteran community. It is our privilege to honor deceased veterans and their families in need of funeral services. This is part of the Dignity Memorial^® Homeless Veterans Burial Program, a cooperative effort with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, local medical examiners, coroners, veterans’ advocates and veterans’ organizations. Through the Homeless Veterans Burial Program, homeless and indigent veterans who have no family to claim them are identified and provided with a proper military burial.

We also participate in the Dignity Memorial^® Public Servants Program that recognizes the courage and selflessness of those who serve. This program offers dignified and honorable tributes, at no cost, for career and volunteer law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency services personnel who fall in the line of duty.

History

A.H. Peters Funeral Home was founded by Arthur and Alma Peters in 1917. Currently operated by their grandson David Peters, our two Detroit-area funeral home locations are honored to continue the established traditions of our founders, providing unparalleled personalized support, attention to detail, care and comfort to the families we serve.

Since 2003, A.H. Peters Funeral Home has received the annual “Pursuit of Excellence” award by the National Funeral Directors Association. This honor recognizes the outstanding service to families and community and adherence to the highest professional and ethical standards. A.H. Peters Funeral Home is proud to receive this sought-after award from our peers.

In 2019, our Warren funeral home was also recognized by the Warren Beautification Commission for our continued enhancement and preservation of the funeral home grounds and facility.
