Kelly was able to tell what we needed and how we wanted things to be done. She could read what we were explaining and she then showed us exactly what we were talking about and bring it to life for us. She did not rush us through the process and gave us time when we needed moments to pause. She did an incredible job and was in contact with us the entire time to make sure everything was taken care of. Kelly also would give us reminders of things she needed from us, given the situation she knew we might forget something.

Although my father had pre-arranged his funeral, there were still some decisions to be made. Hill Crest did a wonderful job walking me through all of the options. The staff was warm and friendly, and was able to answer all of my questions. Since my father was a veteran, they even helped coordinate military honors. It was a sad occasion, but the staff at Hill Crest helped us all the way.

Overall, the staff and facilities are great. The only down side, was that the prices were outrageously high. The estimate for a bare bone funeral (pickup, embalming, inexpensive casket, vault, plot, marker) was nearly $17K, with a 'pre-death' 12% discount. We had to go with cremation, which was still a large chunk of money. All of the staff and services available that fall into the base price, really weren't used, causing it to feel like we overpaid significantly for the simple cremation process. Again, the staff were all polite, professional, and very helpful. But the prices are too high.

From the time we walked in the door every member of the staff was exceptional. I am a Dignity employee so the arrangements for my mother actually began at the beginning of this year. Dorothy Collins was the 1st employee I contacted at Hillcrest and what I found is that from the beginning I have been treated with care and concern. I wasn't able to make it to complete things before my mother became critically ill, but both Dorothy and Leslie Turner treated my brother as if they were dealing with me directly and displayed the same kindness that I had experienced. Once I arrived; the staff of Hillcrest treated me and every member of my family like we were one of their own. I want to thank Terri Nail, Amanda Moseley, Emily Truitt, Jessica Mcclave, Stacey Costello, Johnny Donahoe, Leslie Turner and Dorothy Collins for making this difficult time as smooth as could possibly be experienced.
