Burial options for every family

Although Ridgewood Memorial Park dates back to 1920, we are glad to meet the preferences of modern families for services ranging from traditional burial to cremation and urn memorialization to mausoleum entombment. For those looking for family areas, we have private estates and private familial areas. If you prefer to be near the water, we have bench estates that overlook Swan Lake. Both our outdoor Tower Lake Mausoleum (which faces one of our beautiful lakes) and the indoor Swan Lake Mausoleum (named for the swans that live there) offer many options for families who select mausoleum entombment. Swan Lake Mausoleum includes a circular chapel that seats 200 people. Individual mausoleum crypts, companion crypts, private family rooms and marble- and glass-front niches are available in this state-of-the-art building. Glass-front niches can be personalized with flowers, keepsakes and photographs—all of which help tell your loved one’s life story.

Beautiful chapels on the cemetery grounds

Ridgewood Memorial Park has several areas for memorial and committal services. Within the Swan Lake Mausoleum, the Swan Lake Chapel overlooks Swan Lake. The modern, light-filled chapel holds 150-200 guests and has a catering kitchen. Unlike many chapels, Swan Lake is in the shape of a circle and has many windows that let in plenty of natural light. Des Plaines has a rich and vibrant Greek community. Our ornate Greek Chapel celebrates those of the Greek Orthodox faith. It has icon murals on every wall that depict Christian themes such as the resurrection and crucifixion of Christ, and a magnificent carved wooden altar sits at the front of the chapel.

Situated 4.5 miles northwest of Chicago on Milwaukee Avenue (Illinois 21), Ridgewood Memorial Park is a beautifully located gem for Des Plaines and surrounding communities. We are located between Golf Road, North Milwaukee Avenue, Central Road and Route 294. We are a short drive to Kloempken Prairie, Community Park West and the Golf Mill Shopping Center. Military and veterans funerals

We are proud to serve the military families of Des Plaines, Chicago and beyond at Ridgewood Memorial Park. We are well-versed in military memorials with honors and have a reserved military section within our cemetery. We also host a yearly Memorial Day service to honor military members memorialized at the cemetery. See MoreSee Less

At Ridgewood Memorial Park, we believe that every member of the military has the right to a dignified service. Because of this, we participate in the Homeless Veterans Burial Program and work with local and national organizations to ensure that no matter the circumstances, all local veterans receive a dignified memorial. Active in the Chicago community

Ridgewood Memorial Park is involved in the Chicago and surrounding area communities. Each year, we host several events open to the families we serve and the Chicago-area community: a Memorial Day service; a 9/11 service at our 9/11 memorial that includes 1 of the World Trade Center beams; and a remembrance service in December. We also host a Mother’s Day event, complete with flowers for all who visit. Additionally, members of our team are involved with the American Diabetes Association and participate in both the ADA ride and walk.
