A caring Fresno funeral home

Our spacious funeral chapel welcomes people of all religious and cultural backgrounds, and our compassionate team plans funerals and memorials that range from traditional to contemporary to alternative—each reflecting the passions and personality of a unique individual.

We are part of the North Fresno Lions Club, the Better Business Bureau and the Fresno Chamber of Commerce, and we support the American Diabetes Association and Alzheimer's Association. Since 2013, we've hosted an annual Halloween Trunk-or-Treat, where kids and families can safely celebrate in costume.

History

Kansas native Warren C. Tinkler began his funeral service career in 1925. He served as president of the Fresno County Funeral Directors Association and California Funeral Directors Association. He was also a deputy under Coroner J. Herman Kennedy for 7 years.

In 1965, the Copner family purchased Warren's funeral home, and they provided Fresno-area families with funerals and cremations until May 1997, when they sold the business.

Funeraria Del Angel Tinkler, once known as Powell Undertaking Company, occupied the space of the current-day Pacific Telephone office at 1459 Van Ness Ave. for a while. Later, the funeral home was relocated to the current Mission Revival-style building at the corner of North Broadway Street and Belmont Avenue, and the name was changed to Mission Chapel of Powell Undertaking Company.
