With respect, integrity and dignity, we will walk you through the steps of creating a veteran's memorial service that truly honors the life and sacrifice of your loved one.

Our offerings and amenities

Our large, light-filled chapel accommodates approximately 200 guests. A wall of glass offers spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. We also have 2 visitation rooms as well as a reception room that seats about 100 guests. We encourage you to gather with family and friends for refreshments or a meal before or after a funeral or memorial—and you can leave the food and drinks to us. Think: a breakfast taco buffet, a candy bar with coffee and soda, or perhaps even a rustic dinner under the stars. Let's us help you explore what would mean the most.

Olinger Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery - Chapel Hill is a trusted member of the South Denver community. Our team members are engaged in the Centennial community. We host funeral-planning seminars and events that are open to the public, including an annual Memorial Day service and a holiday remembrance program that includes a speaker, live music and a candle lighting ceremony.

We are also here to provide professional, compassionate care when you need us. We aim to exceed your expectations and focus on ensuring that each funeral, memorial or cremation is both personal and memorable. And Olinger Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery - Chapel Hill continues to care for and support families after the ceremony is over through the Olinger Grief Resource Center.

History

Established in 1950 in Centennial, Colorado, Olinger Cemetery - Chapel Hill has served the South Denver area for more than half a century, and we look forward to serving you with excellence for years to come.

Past and present

The original funeral chapel was built just west of the current funeral home location in 1963. The chapel had a 60-foot stained-glass window, which was imported from Italy and featured the image of praying hands and a descending dove on top of the highest point in Arapahoe County.

Olinger Funeral & Cremation - Chapel Hill was built in 1992 and held its 1st funeral service on February 11, 1993. Although it no longer has the original stained-glass window, the focal point of the funeral home chapel is a wall of windows that offers breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains.

Olinger Funeral & Cremation - Chapel Hill has seen a series of renovations and updates that give the funeral home a modern, up-to-date look that appeals to our community.

Olinger Cemetery - Chapel Hill

Covering approximately 75 acres in Centennial, Colorado, the park-like Olinger Cemetery - Chapel Hill is a picturesque final resting place. Located at the highest point in Arapahoe County, the cemetery offers panoramic views of the Front Range in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Columbine Memorial

Olinger Cemetery - Chapel Hill is the permanent home of the Columbine Memorial, which honors the teacher and 12 students who died on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School. The memorial includes 13 jet black granite crosses, each with a person's name and portrait.

Burial and entombment options

The beautifully landscaped Olinger Cemetery - Chapel Hill offers standard ground-burial options with both flat and upright monuments, memorial and cremation benches, a cremation garden, mausoleums, private family estates and other permanent memorialization options.

Each garden in Olinger Cemetery - Chapel Hill includes a unique feature that sets it apart from other sections of the property. For example, our cremation garden includes a water feature, and a stream runs through the Garden of Tranquility. The Garden of Tranquility also has a stone and copper committal pavilion, while the Garden of the Apostles features a beautiful statue.

Olinger Grief Resource Center

Our care doesn't end after our services are complete. Recognizing the need for continued support after the ceremony ends and friends go home, Olinger Funeral & Cremation - Chapel Hill created the Olinger Grief Resource Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. The center is home to the Denver Area Bereavement Council, a lending library and a reception area for support meetings and educational events. Designed to provide families with ongoing resources that help them cope with their losses, it brings together professionals and individuals in a warm and friendly setting.
