She worked for Yuma Citrus for many years and retired to become a homemaker. She enjoyed watching her sons and grandchildren play baseball, softball, and soccer. She loved watching baseball and her favorite teams were the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Los Angeles Dodgers. She enjoyed spending time at home and with her family.
Maria is survived by her children; daughters Maria Canedo (Joe) of Flagstaff, AZ; Rosa Irazola (Miguel) of Yuma, AZ; sons Salvador Veloz Jr. (Diana) of Yuma, AZ; Jose Veloz (Perla) of Yuma, AZ; Frankie Veloz of Yuma, AZ and 12 grandchildren; Yaiven Veloz, Michael Irazola, Isabella Irazola, Nathan Veloz, Isaiah Veloz, Elijah Veloz, Alex Veloz, Janessa Veloz, Francisco Veloz Jr., Brianna Veloz, Gabriella Veloz, and Jose A. Veloz, cousins, nieces and nephews.
A loving and devoted mother, excellent and caring grandmother and aunt. She will be sorely missed but never forgotten. "La queremos mucho mami y la vamos a extrañar". Dios la tiene en sus brazos y nosotros la mantenemos en nuestros corazones.
Visitation will be at Johnson's Mortuary, Wednesday April 12, from 5:00pm - 8:00pm and Rosary will be at 7:00pm.
Funeral Services will be Thursday April 13, at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Church.
Final resting place will be at Desert Lawn Memorial Park.
