Mother Daughter and Sister returned to the stars December 19, 2017.
Her life became complete when her 3 children entered her life. Alton, Steven, and Kady Jo were the light of her life. She deeply loved her family and lived for her children.
Kathy Jo will forever be remembered by her incredible strength to get through whatever was put in her path. She had such a kind loving heart, and a smile that warmed your heart. She love quoting lines from her favorite movies. She was also a huge lover of Diet Coke and a proud raiders fan.
After high school she attended AWC and was an employee of the Cocopah Indian Tribe holding many positions leading up to gaming agent. While exploring other employment options she worked as a dispatcher for the Cocopah Police Department and for the Cocopah Youth home, leading up to her job as the gaming agent for the Quechan Indian Tribe.
She is survived by her children; Alton Henry Montague Jr., Steven Michael Montague, and Kady Jo Corbett. Her mother; Margarita Miguel, step-father Michael Miguel, siblings; James Phillips Barley and Allison Mary Regina Thomas, nephew; James Nicademus Barley.
She is preceded in death by her father; Dudley Barley, her grand parents; Rosalie and Jimmy Barley, and Dolores and Lazaro Ortega, aunts; Louise Golding, Sylvia Tumbaga, Irene Barley, and Marcia Escalanti, uncles; Stewart Barley and Elmer Barley cousins Amber Ramos Freeman Maxwell, and Clearence Kyiote,.
Memorial services will be held at Funeria Del Angel Friday December 22, 2017 at 3:00 pm. Traditional ceremonies will be held at the west Cocopah Reservation at 5:00 pm – 5:00 am.
