He graduated from Faxon High School, class of ‘55, in Faxon, OK. After graduation he moved to Yuma, along with his parents, where he started his career in Construction, by joining the Carpenter’s Union and completing the four-year Trade School program. Jerry joined First Southern Baptist Church (Stone Ridge Church) upon his arrival from Oklahoma and there met his future wife.
Jerry’s extra-curricular activities included bowling leagues, team roping at both Pearce’s Roping Arena and Roll Roping Arena. He loved to hunt and fish and was a member of Southwest Bowhunters.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rachel Jean; two daughters - Cynthia Lynn and Dana Sue; one son - Jay (Jerry, Jr,); three granddaughters - Courtni Rae, Hayley Marie and Eadi Lea; brother, James Fine (LakeView OR) and seven great-grandchildren plus one on the way; many nieces, nephews, family and friends
A private cremation for Jerry will be held Friday, July 2, 2021.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice or directly to the family.
