Jim was born to William Densell and Ardella Laird Park on July 8, 1936 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. He was the third son and fourth child of the family that would eventually boast four sons, four daughters and fifty-one grandchildren.
Jim is survived by his sisters, Bonnie Seegmiller and Sharyn Crouch, his children, Gene Swenson (Lucile's husband), Tamera and Ralph Richardson, Mike and Jennifer Park, Phillip and Diane Park, Becky and Ben Smith, Sally and Scott Cebulski, twenty-one grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Fuller, his parents, three brothers, two sisters, one daughter, Lucile Park Swenson and one grandchild, Jaime Swenson.
Jim loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and was never shy about sharing his testimony. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jim also loved to make people laugh. He could always coax a smile out of anyone he encountered.
Jim grew up in Idaho, but spent his married life in Arizona, primarily in Yuma. His career was in farming, mainly for the University of Arizona Experiment Farms where he started as a farm laborer and ended up managing all the U of A experiment farms in the state. After he retired from this, he taught school for many years at Yuma High School. After retiring from teaching, Jim and Betty spent the remaining years of their lives together going back and forth between Yuma, Arizona in the winters and Menan, Idaho in the summers.
His love of life, laughter and the gospel was a light to all who had the blessing of having Jim in their lives. He will be dearly missed.
