Elizabeth Laverne Johnson

Elizabeth attended elementary and high school in Daingerfield, TX and went on to college in Tyler, TX. She later moved to Yuma, AZ where she met and married the love of her life, Joe N. Johnson, and to this union were born eight children.

Elizabeth dedicated her life to the Lord at a young age and was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church for over 70 years. Elizabeth was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a stay at home mom, worked as a domestic engineer, and was a very active person in her community, as a member of the Red Hat Society and NAAC.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Gracie and Clarence Frazier; husband, Joe N. Johnson; sister, Zola Mae Simmons; brother, Ozzie Frazier; and sons,

Kenneth and Sylvester Johnson.

Elizabeth leaves, to cherish her memory, her sister, Vivian Royal of Dallas, TX; sons, Eddie (Wilma) Johnson of Richmond, CA, Willie J. (Gwen) Johnson of Fayetteville, AR, Nathaniel Johnson of Yuma, AZ and Robert Johnson of Los Angeles, CA; daughters, Judith Roberson and Joann (Elmo) Dees, both of Yuma, AZ; 14 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
