Dorothy Ruth Burns

(Ruth) Dorothy Burns (Nee Christian) came into this world April 13, 1948 and left surrounded by family who loved her so very much April 22, 2024. She was born in Colorado Springs, CO to Mary Christian (Novak) and Cleo Christian with whom she is now reunited with.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Donald Dean Burns, Daughter Stacy (Martin) Auza (Burns), Son Richard (Lisa) Burns and Step-Son William (Crystal) Burns, Grandson Anthony Auza Granddaughter Brittney Auza.

She was a beloved sister, aunt, and cousin to several, niece to many, some that are still here, a lot that have gone before her that she is now reunited with, friend to so many, but best friend to Mary Applegate of Utah.

Whatever Dorothy set her mind to, she would conquer. She went from Maid to Front Desk Manager in Hospitality Services, and she loved it. When it came time to retire she turned that attention to gardening, her cats, her turtles and the birds that she loved to watch come and eat at her feeders. Nothing made her

happier than to sit outside on her beautiful patio with a cup of coffee, petting her cats and watching the birds. The best way to remember her kind spirit, sit outside and listen to the birds, pet a cat or a dog, enjoy a good cup of coffee and a lovely pastry. She was 1 in a million, and we miss her dearly.
