Doris was born September 23, 1934 in Cassville, Missouri, the daughter of the late Clement and Gladys Clanton. She is survived by her brother, David (Jan) Clanton; her daughter, Lynn (Larry) Boardman; her son, Kevin (Michelle) Moore; her stepson, Tom (Linda) Rodgers and her stepdaughter, Sue Ann Laughlin. She is also survived by her 5 grandsons, 2 step-grandsons and 2 great-grandsons.
Doris was married to Larry Moore for 31 years; followed by her second marriage to Bill Rodgers for 25 years.
For the past ten years, Doris has lived with her daughter and son-in-law in their home where they shared many happy memories. Doris and Lynn enjoyed making blankets and matching stuffed animals, sitting face to face in their sewing room. As was in Mom’s heart, these creations were donated to various charities such as Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House and various mission trips to Mexico through her church.
Doris’ pride and joy was her great-grandson, Easton, who she was honored to help care for throughout his early years. It was a very special bond that she dwelled on frequently. Unfortunately, she never met her second great-grandson, Landon.
