Anna Marie Cano

Anna was born January 25, 1934 in Yuma, Arizona to Juan and Bessie Gutierrez. She attended Yuma High School and was a proud “criminal”. She left behind a proud legacy of well-known and beloved restaurants that include the Chile Pepper and Mr. G restaurant.

Mrs. Cano is preceded in death by her late husband, David Morales Cano, her son Francis (Corky) Cano and grandson, Jerime Cano.

She is survived by her children Lorene McTigue (Tim), Dorene Young (Mitch), Kevin Cano, Janice Cano- Shrope (Greg), Jennifer Bennett (Donnie), Paul Cano, Edward Cano, and Victoria Gresham. In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several step-grandchildren. Anna Cano is also survived by two siblings, Mary Louise Huff and John Guiterrez.

Her loving spirit will live in all of us. She will be greatly missed by all.
