Linda Siems Jennings

Linda was known for her quick wit and clever comebacks. She was artistic, athletic, competitive, and loved animals. Linda was born in Chicago, IL on October 11, 1943 and grew up in Palatine, IL. As a child and young woman she participated in dog shows and equestrian jumping. As an adult she moved to Phoenix, AZ. Her hobbies were painting, ceramics and stained glass. Another passion was the showing and breeding of her beloved pomeranians. As with everything else Linda did she was very successful. Her homebred Ch Linchris Genghis Pom, “Cubby”, was 4th in the nation in top winning Poms with multiple group and specialty wins and a best in show. Cubby is listed in the Hall of Fame in the American Pomeranian Club. Linda was a showman at heart, from the big hats boasting flowers or feathers, to the immaculate poms that floated across the ring from the tiny leads, she truly was a master at her craft. She was a lifetime member of Sahuaro State Kennel Club and served in many board positions throughout her membership. She was also a member of Kachina Kennel Club. As a member of the American Pomeranian Club, Linda was instrumental in updating the breed standard, providing education on the breed to judges, exhibitors and owners alike. Along with breeding and showing her beloved Pomeranians Linda also did Pomeranian rescue. She took in Poms that came from shelters and difficult situations, she had them spay/neutered and all medical needs attended to, and placed them in loving homes. Because of her efforts nearly 500 Poms got a second chance at life. After Linda retired from dogs she and her husband traveled the country in their motorhome. When home here in Arizona she and her husband were members of the Arizona ATV Riders Club. Linda also served on the board of the club and organized and led many ATV trail rides across the state of Arizona. After the death of her husband Richard Jennings and because of health issues Linda had to give up her ATV riding. She lived quietly in her home in Sun City West until the age of 80. She passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024. She is survived by her daughter Christina Justine Ulman and five grandchildren.
