1950-2024
Ernesto M Valenzuela, a Ford Parts man for 40+ years, died November 9, 2024 in Gilbert, AZ, surrounded
by his family at the age of 74. His legacy leaves behind, his wife Doris, sisters Ruth and Olga and brother
Tony. His kids Lori, Isaac, Jonathon Ray and Becki, Grandkids Jonathon James, CJ, Jorden, Adriana and
Britt, great grandkids Junior and Luna, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents
Carmen and Antonio Valenzuela, brother Ysidro and sister Alaudia.
Ernie was a race car fanatic. He raced his white Ford Falcon back in the days at the race track later
known as Speedworld and went to the car races at Firebird International Raceway. He spent many hours
in the garage working on his mustangs and trucks, fixing other people’s cars and teaching his kids and
grandkids the basic maintenance of cars. Ernie loved sports, attending many games for Arizona Diamond
Backs, ASU football, college bowl games and Arizona Cardinals. In 2013, he went back to school to show
everyone it’s never too late to get your diploma and he graduated getting his GED. Ernie retired in 2012
and goes on daily bike rides thru Peoria. Many of us saw him riding his bike along Thunderbird listening
to his favorite oldies music with his ear buds in. A quote from Uncle Harry, “Bring it to Ernie, he can fix
anything”.
