Early years were spent in Michigan until moving to California in 1960 where she settled with her husband, Lee, in Orange, CA. Joyce was a schoolteacher in Brea until she began her lifelong career as Mom. She was active with school and local social events, square dancing, crafting and being the “mom” to every kid that came along. Joyce loved to cook and make sweet treats to celebrate all occasions. While raising 5 kids and with all their friends, there was always a reason to cook and share.
She was widowed by her husband in 2015, and survived by her children: Matt, Julie & her husband Mark, Andrew & his husband George, Don & his wife Shannon, Doug & his wife Tammy. She had a special place in her heart for her seven grandchildren: Trevor, Nick, Kim, Tyler, Brady, Jordan and Nathan.
She leaves behind numerous friends who will miss her tremendously. She always had a kind and caring way to make everyone smile.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
