He is survived by his four devoted children, Mirna Elizabeth, Gustavo Enrique, Joshua Francisco and Laura Cecilia. His 12 grandchildren; Owen, David, Nicholas, Krista, Michaiah, Caleb, Gustavo, Jacob, Noah, Jonah, Micah and Olivia. He is also survived by his brothers; Francisco, Joaquin, Victor and youngest sister, Eugenia.
Born March 20, 1931 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Carlos is 1 of 15 children. He grew up with his siblings always ready to have a good time. In his late teens he began rowing, swimming and playing guitar. He had a passion for guitar and would play for his children and grandchildren any chance he got. He loved languages and studied Italian and French in night school.
He was enlisted in the Guatemalan Military Reserves for 5 years.
In Guatemala, Carlos was an accountant for a life insurance company but also had his own part-time business of creating and organizing public social dances. He was a legend for these dance nights.
He married the love of his life, Carmen, in 1954.
In the next years Mirna and Gustavo were born.
In 1971, Carlos brought his family to the United States and eventually settled in Yorba Linda where he lived happily for 45 years.
His two youngest, twins, came 8 years after.
In 1973, Carlos rededicated his life to Christ. He lived his life with a strong faith and was a steward for his family. As a leader of the family, Carlos ensured that faith was at the core.
Living in the U.S, Carlos became a machinist and held that career for over 30 years and when he retired, Carlos continued his education in Computer Science.
He was a devoted family man. His priority was always the well-being of his family. He taught them the importance of faith, love, loyalty and dedication which continues through all the lives he touched today.
