Robert Hickey Jr.

He was born on February 5, 1955 in Yonkers, NY to loving parents Robert P. Hickey Sr. and Irene R. Hickey (née Schaub), both deceased. He attended Sacred Heart School and Gorton High School. He held positions with the Yonkers Board of Education and Polychrome Corporation. He also drove a taxi and most recently ran a landscaping business. Bob was a long time supporter and sponsor of the North Yonkers Boys & Girls Club.

He is survived by his wife Coleen Hickey (née Healy), his daughters Michelle Scarpelli (Robert) and Tina Mazzarese (Gerald Jr.) as well 5 grandchildren Patrick, Juliana, Isabella, Gerald III and Sean Robert. While he enjoyed hunting and fishing, there was NOTHING that he enjoyed more than spending time with his grandchildren. They were literally the lights of Pop Pop's life !

He is additionally survived by his 7 siblings, Theresa (John) of Iva, SC, Marion (Ernesto) of Marietta, GA, Joseph (Tina) of Yonkers, NY, John of Yonkers, NY, Neil of Lagrangeville, NY, James of Tobyhanna, PA, and Andrew of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, as well his sister in law and brother in law Marylou & Stephen Poncurak Sr., his godchild Stevanni, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly.

Visiting hours will be held at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home on Thursday, November 5th from 5 - 9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, November 6th, 930 AM at the Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph’s Cemetery.
