Maryanne M. Moynihan

She was born on September 22, 1936 to George and Margaret (Griffin) Conn in Yonkers where she was raised. She was a graduate of Gorton High School and a parishioner of Christ the King Church. After graduation, Maryanne worked in Manhattan and later The Anaconda Wire and Cable Company in Yonkers. After raising her family, she returned to work at Ciba-Geigy in Ardsley where she worked in the Travel Department.

On February 13, 1960, she married John “Jack” Moynihan in Sacred Heart Church. He passed away on December 21, 2015. She is survived by her son John C. Moynihan, Jr. of Yonkers and her daughter Brianna Moynihan of Vermont. She was predeceased by her daughter Margaret “Peggy” Moynihan and a nephew John Conn, YFD. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, George Conn, Maryanne D’Donato, Timothy Moynihan, Brian Moynihan, Jane Piche and her sister-in-law Joanne Moynihan.

Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Sunday, Nov 24th, from 4-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Monday, Nov 25th at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ the King Church in her memory.
