Marion Eiden

Marion was born on November 7, 1933 the daughter of Patrick McCormack and Margaret Clancy and she was a lifelong resident of Yonkers, NY. She was the eldest of three sisters, Margaret (Jano) and Ann Gail (Olsen). She graduated from Commerce High School in 1951 and married the love of her life Harold (Chuck) Eiden in 1954. The two most important facets of Marion’s life were her faith and her family. Marion shared her faith as a lector, eucharistic minister and CCD teacher. Marion was a fixture at 7 am Mass at Christ the King, always waiting for that tap upon her shoulder to help out where needed. In addition to raising her sons and her sisters, Marion held various jobs including a nursing payroll clerk at Lawrence Hospital for 17 years.

Most important of all to Marion was her family and she was most proud of her four grandchildren and treasured her adventures and time with Joseph, Elizabeth, Kaylie and Matthew.

Marion is survived by her husband of 67 years Harold (Chuck), her sons Peter (Margaret) of White Plains and Paul (Deborah) of Mount Kisco, her sister Gail (Olsen) of Jarrettsville, MD and her grandchildren Joseph, Elizabeth, Kaylie and Matthew.

Marion was predeceased by her sister Margaret (Margie), cherished niece Kathryn Krug and beloved nephew Eric Olsen.

Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday 3-7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Saturday February 4th at 10am. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
