Maria Pereira

Maria de Fatima Pereira passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Lawrence Hospital on June 20, 2020. She was 67 years old. Maria was born in Celorico da Beira, Portugal on March 5, 1953 to Candida Fonseca Gabriel and Carlos Nobre.

Maria’s biggest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends. She was married to her loving husband for 46 years. They were inseparable. Their marriage was the true meaning of love and happiness.

Maria was a deeply faithful Catholic and was devoted to Nossa Senhora de Fatima. She was a devoted woman of God.

She enjoyed crocheting blankets and clothes for her grandchildren and friends. She was a loving and loyal woman. She truly enjoyed spending every minute with her five grandchildren and her smile would light up the room at the sight of them. They meant the world to her.

Maria is survived by her husband Antonio Pereira, her son David Pereira and wife Dana, her daughter Kelly Herrmann and husband John, daughter Jenny Mezo and husband Micky, her grandchildren John, Abigail, Michael, Olivia, and Gabriella, her brother Antonio Carlos Nobre and wife Livita, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 355 South Broadway, Yonkers, NY 10705. Flowers and condolences may be offered at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10703
