John E. Sayegh

He was born on August 23, 1957 to Edward and Nawal Sayegh in Jordan. He was raised and educated in Yonkers graduating from Yonkers High School. Mr. Sayegh was a real estate broker in Yonkers for twenty years until his retirement in 2003. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1975 to 1978. He enjoyed music, puzzles, nature, science and space. He loved the NY Giants and Yankees passionately. His special interest were his roses which he grew and tended to religiously. On May 24, 1997, he married his loving wife, Abeer Twal in St. John’s Church in Jordan. Mrs. Sayegh survives and lives in Yonkers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Edward and Laith Sayegh, both of Yonkers, his mother Nawal Sayegh of Yonkers, and two sisters, Susan Horn of Fairfield, CT and Kathy Bolds of Marin County, CA. He is also survived by a niece, Katie B. Horn. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Christ the King Church on Saturday January 7th at 9:45am. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
