He was born in Manhattan on September 27,1935 to the late Catherine and Edward Reilly.
He graduated from Saunders Technical High School in Yonkers.
Edward was employed by Madison Square Garden for 51 years, and also was a employee of the New York Police Department for 35 years.
Edward was a gentle soul, loved to chat with people, and enjoyed his many trips to Ireland to visit family and friends.
He leaves behind a loving wife of 51 years (Jean) son (Charles) and grandson (Patrick).
A visitation for Edward will be held Wednesday November 22nd from 930am-11am at Whalen and Ball Funeral Home 168 Park Avenue Yonkers New York, with a short religious service to follow.
Internment will be at Gate of Heaven cemetery in Valhalla New York.
