Edgardo P. Aguado

Edgardo is survived by his devoted wife, Normelita Aguado, his cherished daughters Marie Grace Aguado and Melanie Aguado Quintal, and his son-in-law MarvinJo Quintal. He was a proud grandfather to Morgan Quintal, who brought immense joy to his life. Edgardo was predeceased by his parents, Remigio Aguado and Rosalina Pablo (Aguado) and siblings Len, Melchor, Griselda, and Noel Aguado, and is lovingly remembered by his surviving brother, Arthur Aguado.

Edgardo pursued his education at Far Eastern University in Manila, where he laid the foundation for a fulfilling career in nursing. He began his career as an instructor at Manila Doctors College, sharing his knowledge and passion for healthcare with aspiring nurses. His journey then took him to Jubail, Saudi Arabia, where he worked as an ER nurse and met his wife, Normelita. In 1983, Edgardo and Normelita moved to the United States, where he continued his career at Yonkers General Hospital as an ER nurse before ultimately dedicating his final working years to the Department of Health until his retirement.

Edgardo had a profound love for music, singing karaoke, and dancing, often filling gatherings with laughter and joy. He was active in the Sacred Heart Church choir and would sing with the choir every Sunday. His vivacious personality and unwavering loyalty made him a treasured friend to many. Edgardo was known for his friendly and welcoming nature and his willingness to do anything for anyone in need.

Edgardo Aguado will be deeply missed by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and love. His memory will forever be cherished by his family, friends, and community.

Visiting hours for Edgardo will be held Monday 3/24 and Tuesday 3/25 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home, 168 Park Ave, Yonkers, NY 10703. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 110 Shonnard Place, Yonkers, NY 10703. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 50 Jackson Ave, Hastings-on-Hudson, NY 10706.
