Carol A. Salter

Carol was born on December 18, 1941 to Agnes and William C Salter. She attended school #13 and Commerce High School and was a lifelong Yonkers resident until she relocated to Mount Vernon, NY in 2017. Carol had many friends that were like family and was known as the best at keeping in touch with people she loved. Carol was an avid animal lover and she adored her church community.

Carol was employed by Dellwood Dairy for many years and it was where she met her soul mate Donald Risman. Carol loved her family including her beloved brother, niece, grand niece and nephew and her son and grandson.

Carol is predeceased by her parents Agnes and William, her brother William Jr., her life partner, Donald and best friend Loretta.

Carol leaves behind her niece, Selma with husband Peter and children Willa and Ben, her son Lawrence and partner Diane, grandson James, and her beloved cat Cocoa.

She will always be remembered for loving her family, her pets, all animals and having zest for life. She was always up for an adventure, shopping trip, getting a bite to eat or dancing. She lived her life to the fullest and showed all of her love to her family and friends. Carol will be missed dearly.

Memorial visitation will take place at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Friday June 7th from 3-7pm. Interment will be a private ceremony at Summit Mausoleum in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Yonkers Animal Shelter and the Wounded Warrior Project.
