Brunswick – Susan Jill Arnold, 68, of Brunswick died at her home on May 5, 2012. She was born in Bronxville, NY on June 6, 1943, a daughter of Barbara (Ham) and D. Duncan Arnold. She grew up in Freeport and graduated from Waynflete School, Class of 1960. She obtained an A.S. degree from Nasson College, a B.S. from USM and her MSW from UNE.
Jill worked as a volunteer social worker with several human service agencies. She was an avid reader and accomplished painter and photographer. She enjoyed walking, hiking and traveling extensively. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her two grandchildren, Elias and Willa.
She is survived by her two sons: Scott Burrill and his wife Connie Clifford and their children, Elias and Willa of Freeport; Jason Burrill of Yarmouth; her mother Barbara H. Arnold of Framingham, MA; her brother D.R. Arnold and his wife Mary of Cape Elizabeth; her sister Amanda Arnold and her spouse Alison of Framingham, MA; her two nieces: Catherine Arnold Mather and Elizabeth Arnold; as well as her dear friend, James Thatcher. She was predeceased by her father and her brother Chris Arnold.
A time of gathering will be held on Thursday May 10, 2012 from 5 – 7PM at Lindquist Funeral Home, One Mayberry Lane, Yarmouth, ME with a dedicated time of tributes at 6:30 PM.
