Richard Allan Smith, more commonly referred to as Dick, was born on December 9th, 1964 to his mother and father, Marcia Blevins and Richard Smith. He married his beloved wife, Jamie Norman. The two knew and attended school together since they were fifteen before going on to have two daughters, Parker and Alyssa Smith.
Dick attended the University of Washington before he began working for Coca-Cola, MLA Transport, and several other companies throughout his career. Unfortunately, he faced a long battle with Huntington’s Disease. On the morning of July 5th, 2023 Dick passed away peacefully at home with Jamie by his side.
Dick will be survived by his loving wife, Jamie Norman; mother, Marcia Blevins; father, Richard Smith; brother, Mark (Greta) Smith; three stepbrothers, Brent (Kari), Lydia, and Guy (Susan) Blevins; stepsister Lori (Jerry) Dulek; and two daughters, Parker and Alyssa Smith.
Dick will be remembered as a strong, intelligent, and hardworking person with a great love for animals. He embraced his role as a loving father, husband, son, and brother. Spending quality time with his family brought him great joy, whether it was singing along with Parker to their favorite Elvis songs or cheering on Alyssa during her volleyball games. Dick will be forever cherished for his endless storytelling.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are beyond grateful for the time we had with Dick and the memories that he leaves behind.
