Patricia Rene Hurst

Patricia Hurst (Gallipo) , age 79, of Yakima, WA was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 11th, 2024. She passed away from cancer. Pat was born October 1st, 1945 to Duke and Irene Gallipo. She graduated from Wapato High School in1963. The friendships she made there continued until her passing. She loved her lunches with the "Wapato Girls".

Pat married Ernie Hurst on September 19th, 1970 and together they had two children, Duke and Mika. They were happily married for 50 years until Ernie's death in December 2020.

Pat was blessed to be able to stay home, raise her children,and take exceptional care of her home and family. She will be remembered for her excellent cooking and baking. Everyone loved her homemade candy at Christmas. She loved to feed people! She always put others ahead of herself.

After Ernie's death, Pat moved into Rexford Manor. The wonderful people there became a second family. She made a lot of new friends and loved living there.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her only sibling, Judy McGrath and brother-in-law Jim McGrath. She is survived by her son Duke and his wife Donna Hurst, daughter Mika and her husband Jason Fortier, grandchildren, Emily and Troy Fortier, niece Casey McGrath and many wonderful friends.

Pat will be missed by many and we take comfort in the fact that she is in the presence of the Lord and we will be seeing her again.

She will be laid to rest at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. There will be no services.
