A native of Yakima, Larry was born July 17, 1947 to Lloyd and Blanche (Carl) Huard. He was raised and educated in Yakima and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Larry married the love of his life, Sandra L. Urlacher, on July 15, 1972 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Yakima.
His professional career led him to reside in Bothell, WA while raising his three children. He later returned to Yakima to pursue a dream of owning his own business, Action Collectors, Inc. Larry loved spending time with his family, visiting with friends and relatives, playing cards, and the occasional trip to the casino. He was passionate about his work and also enjoyed traveling.
Larry is survived by his daughters, Tracy Huard of Yakima and Cherie (David) Wheeler of Oologah, OK; son, Cory (Ronika) Huard of Yakima; four grandchildren, Jasmine Huard, Nicholas Witt, Isaac Wheeler and Joshua Wheeler; six brothers, Kenneth (Kathy) Huard, Richard (Kim) Huard and Edward (Robin) Huard all of Yakima, WA; Bernie Huard of Hood River, OR; David Huard of Spokane, WA; and Thomas Huard of Olympia, WA; four sisters, Janet Huard of Yuma, AZ; Carol (Richard) McLean of Mobile, AL; Theresa (Frank) Moore of San Rafael, CA; and Mary (Richard) Milender of Cheney, WA.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Huard; parents, Lloyd and Blanche Huard; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Lenora Urlacher; nephew, Adam Huard; and niece, Danielle (Urlacher) Hosterman .
Viewing will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Vigil services beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 14th at St. Paul Cathedral.
Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
