Jerry was born in Yakima, WA on April 4, 1951, the son of Edward and Charlotte Trepanier.
He was raised in Cowiche, WA and attended Highland Schools. He was very active in sports; football, wrestling, track & field (holding records in the shot put and discus).
In his senior year a National School Assembly was held for the entire school with a contest of picking up a girl by her waist and lifting her straight up. Jerry was the first person in 32 states to actually pick her up off the floor and not only once but he did it twice. Jerry graduated in 1969 from Highland High School.
Shortly after high school Jerry joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Ft. Lewis. He then was transferred to Germany and finally returned to the U.S. to serve at Ft. Riley, Kansas. He received an honorable discharge with the rank of Specialist 5 classified as a sharp shooter.
He resided in the Seattle area for many years attending many Mariners Baseball Games and the Seattle Seahawks Football Games.
Jerry’s fondest memory was his time spent with his mother and the many phone conversations being able to talk to her on a daily basis.
He returned to the Yakima area, residing the last four and half years of his life in Gleed.
He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
He is survived by his mother and four brothers, Tom, Gary, Joe and Dave.
Visitation will be from Noon to 5:00 p.m. on August, Saturday 13th & Sunday the 14th at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Yakima and Ninth Avenues.
