James “Jim” D. Spicer, 57, of Selah passed away tragically November 13, 2011 in Richland. He was born to V. Dennis Spicer Jr. and Gale Spicer on January 21, 1954 in Bremerton, Washington. He moved to the Yakima area as a boy in 1963. He served in the Coast Guard where he was honorably discharged in 1975.
He worked for Roy N. Carlson trucking delivering flour and sugar. His greatest joy in life was spending time with family, especially spoiling his five grandchildren. He was also looking forward to meeting two more granddaughters on the way in February. He also loved to talk and joke around with everyone he knew.
He is survived by his daughter, Heidi (Robert) Morgan of Yakima and their three children, Sabiene, RJ, and Emma, plus one more daughter on the way. His son, George (Anna) Spicer of Selah and their two children, Jacob and Cooper, plus a daughter on the way. His son, Andrew Spicer of Zillah and his fiancé Jennifer Hall. He is also survived by his parents, V. Dennis Spicer and Gale Spicer of Selah. His brother, Varnum (Donna) Spicer of Lynn Haven, Florida. His two sisters, Ann (Bill) Spicer of Heppner, Oregon, Camilla Spicer of Port Charlotte, Florida, and her husband Frank Moss. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Keith & Keith Terrace Heights Chapel.
