Our loving father was called by The Lord on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Francisco (Frank) O. Lozano, 90, of Union Gap passed away peacefully of natural causes. He was born on September 11, 1927 in Wichita Falls, TX to Marcos and Romana Lozano. Frank is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Rachel C. Lozano of Yakima. Frank and Rachel raised three kids, Frank Lozano Jr. of Maple Valley, WA, Alphonso (Al) Lozano of Spokane, WA, and Yvonne (Bonnie) Lozano of Yakima. Frank has two grandchildren: Sarah Lozano of Seattle, WA and Jared Lozano of Boise, ID.
Frank was known for his mild-mannered and friendly personality everywhere he went. Frank started his young life as a farm worker driving hop truck for his father’s business. Frank was a people helper. He often helped people relocate for work, transporting families in large trucks in hazardous conditions so they could find work in the fields of Yakima Valley. He married his longtime sweetheart, Rachel Castaneda on September 26, 1956. Frank worked for Pistoresi Trucking of Toppenish for many years. Frank was a dedicated family man and never let self-pride interfere with his commitment to his family, always working to make ends meet. Later Frank worked for the Yakima School District where he retired. Working in various schools he made trusting relations easily because of his sincerity and willingness to help, whatever the need.
Frank was from a family of nine children and is survived by five sisters: Fela Garcia, Quincy, WA, Gloria Trevińo, Toppenish, WA, Maria Garcia, Salem, OR, Cande Veliz, Salem, OR, and Elia Sanchez, Eagle Pass, TX. Including Olga Alvarado, Lupe Garza, and Lorenzo Lozano (deceased).
