Earl enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and playing music. He loved playing the banjo, fiddle, guitar and singing at many family functions, church and various venues. He also enjoyed traveling back east and visiting his folks. Another of many pastimes was restoring vintage tractors and collecting die cast classic cars.
Earl will always be remembered fondly by family and friends for his big smile and sense of humor. He was always ready to tell a funny story from his life or sing a silly song to make you smile. He had a calming presence and will be missed by many.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Earl is survived by a brother, Robert (Bud) Carpenter, many nieces, nephews and friends who will always remember him with love.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Keith & Keith Funeral Home. A remembrance gathering to share memories, music and love will follow at Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
