Charlie G Terry, 97 of Yakima, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 in his sleep. Charlie was born on May 28, 1921 in Wauneta, Nebraska to Alvie Dewey Terry & Eva Miller Terry. Charlie met his future bride Eleanor Cooper July 4, 1940 and they were married August 1, 1940 in Grant, NE.
They made their home in NE and started a family of 3 children, Clelan, Jim, and Trudy. Later moved to Yakima Valley where they farmed outside of Prosser, WA.
While in the lower valley he was involved in the Church of Christ in Grandview, WA. They moved to Yakima where Charlie was an active member of the Summitview Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alvie Dewey and Eva Terry, his wife Eleanor, brothers Vincent, Albert and Buck Terry; son Jim Terry and daughter Trudy Terry Wigger and granddaughter Jennifer Michele Wigger.
Charlie is survived by his son Clelan and Jan Terry of Selah, WA; grandson Drew Terry and Cathy of Issaquah; granddaughters Tani and Mark Fulllerton and Dana and Ted Trapp all of Selah, WA.
Also survived by granddaughter-in-law Jennifer Yegge Terry of Maple Valley, WA; brother Jack Terry of Commerce City, CO, sister LaVonne Fugua of Ellensburg, WA, as well as many nieces and nephews. Charlie Terry is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren with number #5 to be born in December.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10:00 am at Summitview Church of Christ located at 100 N. 72nd Avenue, Yakima, WA. Burial will follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at 7800 Van Belle Road, Sunnyside, WA.
