Todd R. Troutman of Columbus, Ohio born November 27, 1964 passed unexpectedly on September 21, 2023. Todd was born in Columbus to Leland (Dick) Troutman and his wife Barbara Troutman. He grew up in Clintonville and attended East High School, where he was an avid member of their music and theater programs. Later, he was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Air National Guard. Many of the friends he met in his early years stayed friends for his entire life.
Known as “Tech Guy” in his professional life (and on his car license plate!), he worked for Staples, Micro Center, Sarcom, Jostens School Pictures, Checksmart Financial, MedVet Columbus and most recently 3C Technology Solutions. He loved technology and supporting businesses in that field… Especially on Donut Fridays.
Todd had a great love for Ohio State Football, the Columbus Blue Jackets and all Cleveland sports. His favorite pastimes were cooking a great meal with a glass of wine (and posting it on Facebook), drinking coffee, visiting new restaurants and breweries, and sitting on his screened-in porch in Worthington with his wife Kim. Together for 12 years, they loved to travel, from Hocking Hills to California, Michigan to Arizona, and to Mexico, where they wed in early 2023.
Todd never missed an opportunity to sit in his recliner with a furry friend on his lap, and loved his cats Tigger, Frank, and Ezra. He was a passionate fan of music, and though he might’ve listened to the same 20 songs his whole life, he knew all the words to every single Bruce Springsteen album.
Todd is preceded in death by his Father, Leland Troutman. He is loved and survived by his wife, Kim Kelly, mother, Barbara Troutman, children, Jenny (John) Dodson, Molly (Justin) Terry, Todd (Kaysea) Troutman II and Grayson Kelly. Poppi was his favorite title of them all and he will be sincerely missed by his six grandchildren: Henry and Nori Dodson, Emma and Landon Roush, Quentin and Oliver Troutman. He will also be missed by his brothers, Bill (Lynda) Troutman and Alan (Kathy) Troutman, as well as multiple nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
A funeral service for Todd will be held Monday, September 25, 2023 at 3:30 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085, followed by a visitation from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
