Ronald Hendrick Bettinger

Ronald Hendrik Bettinger was born August 6, 1950, in The Hague, Netherlands, to the late Alexander and Hendrina Bettinger. In 1956, the family moved to America; first taking the train to California, then back to Sunbury, Ohio, and finally to Columbus, Ohio, all in a span of two years.

Ron graduated from Whetstone High School. Ron worked for the Fox Company and in 1979, he joined the Liebert Corporation where he worked until his retirement in 2009.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 40 wonderful years, Nitia Marie, whom he married on July 25, 1981; Brother and Sister-in-law, Colonel USAF (Ret) Alexander and Suzanne Bettinger of Hilliard, OH, ; niece, Jennifer (Paul) Glaubitz of Dublin, OH; three great nephews, all of Dublin; sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Karen and Ben Williams of Alpharetta, GA; brother-in-laws Steve Laughlin of Monroe, Michigan, William Laughlin of Columbus, Ohio; two Nieces, one nephew-in-law, one great niece, and one great nephew.

The family would like to send a special thanks to cousins, Carol, Ashley, Craig and Shane Montgomery for all the fun we had all these years. As well as all of Ron’s friends and to Marvin and Don.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 4PM until 7PM, at the Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home, 6699 North High Street, Worthington OH, 43085.
