Olive M. (Simon) Treece, best known as "Ollie" at the aged of 71, passed away on October 15, 2024, in Westerville, Ohio. Born April 15, 1953, in Troy, New York, she was a treasured member of her family, and a cherished member of her community and a joy to all who knew her.
Ollie graduated from Lansingburgh High School in 1971 and continued her education at State University of New York at Albany, where she earned her degree in 1975. Her professional career was marked by significant contributions to several financial institutions. She excelled as a Client Service Account Manager at JP Morgan Chase Bank, where she consistently recognized for her exceptional ability to "Wow" clients, a testament to her thoughtful and generous nature.
Ollie is known to love playing cards, board, internet, and charades games, as well as her love for movies, music, exercise, and culinary arts. Ollie also found joy in spending time with friends and family. Her home was often filled with laughter and the aroma of delicious food. She was invariably the center of attention, her laughter and smile lighting up any room she was in.
Ollie is survived by her son, Alexander (Maryam) Treece, Jr.; grandson, Alexander R. Treece; sisters - Minister Sandra J. Simon and Adele (John) Johnson; sister-cousin Wanda (Bunnie) Harrison; three nieces, two nephews, Alexander E. Treece Sr., as they remained close throughout the years, and a host of relatives on both her parents sides and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frances M. (Rush) and John Arthur Simon, Jr.; brother Alexander Simon and nephew, Jason A. Simon.
"Ollie" Mae Treece will be deeply missed and forever remembered as a loving and vibrant soul whose generosity knew no bounds.
Memorial services will be held at Schoedinger Worthington in Worthington, Ohio, on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Ollie's funeral will take place at Bethel Baptist Church in Troy, New York, on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 10:00 - 12:00 PM. Interment will occur at Elmwood Hill Cemetery, Troy, New York.
