Lifelong and avid fan of football and basketball.
His career consisted of Management positions at Bell Telephone & AT& T, and later Commercial Insurance Sales. He was a member of Brookside Country Club and Tartan Fields Country Club. In retirement, his love of golf gave him the opportunity to work for various golf course communities.
His “never met a stranger” personality and storytelling served him well. His empathy for others brought him to find “His Purpose” as a Christian when he decided to study to become a Pastor serving the needs of others, both in two churches and in Prison Ministry. He wrote beautiful poetry and had a strong magnificent singing voice.
Mike served in the Army Reserve, was a lifelong monthly Red Cross giver of his rare blood type, and was charitable to many organizations, churches and charities. He was also a life-long real estate broker.
He loved Sanibel Island where many vacations were spent with his family and friends. He was a faithful friend to all who knew him. Mike loved his 2 children, Ashley and David, his 3 Stepchildren, Tracy, Stephanie and Jason and his brother Steve. He was a wonderful “Poppy” to his 13 Grandchildren and a devoted husband to his wife, Lyna. Mike will be forever missed and held in their hearts.
Celebration of his wonderful life will be held March 2, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Liberty Presbyterian Church, 7080 Olentangy River Road, Delaware, OH 43015.
