Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, teacher, colleague, and friend.
He was a graduate of Arundel High School 1956 (Gambrills, MD), Mt. Union College 1960, BS in Biology (Alliance, OH), and The Ohio State University College of Dentistry 1965 (Columbus, OH). He was a Captain in the Army and was stationed in both Fort Sill, OK and Fort Wainwright, AK from 1966 to 1968. He then went on to complete a Masters at Ohio State and specialized in Endodontics. He practiced for over 30 years in Worthington, OH. Throughout his career, he also taught in the Endodontics and Emergency Clinics at OSU.
He is survived by wife, Karen, son, Todd (Lynette), grandchildren Ysabella, Joseph, and Benjamin, daughter, Katie, sister, Janet, and many extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth Alonzo and Dorothy Janet Cunin.
In lieu of flowers, donations/contributions can be made to HomeReach Hospice, OSU’s Department of Endodontics, or RescuedOhio (www.rescuedohio.org).
And in Ken’s usual sense of humor, he wrote for his obituary:
“He was born, he lived, he died. He was a pretty good guy…most of the time.”
