William (Bill) Clifton Hough III, 78, of Woodstock, GA, passed away on December 21, 2022. He was the son of the late William Clifton Hough Jr. and late Emily Zemp Hough of Camden, SC. He is survived by his sons Brian Robin Hough and William Carroll Hough; grandson Henry William Hough and brother Robin Zemp Hough.
Bill loved his family and friends and had a lifelong love of music. Laughter came easily and he loved to have a good chat. Someone once said of Bill - "he just wants to love" and it fit perfectly. He enjoyed gardening and looked forward to sharing pictures of his flowers and the endless supply of tomatoes each year. He discovered a love for reading the classics in his retirement and could often be found at a local restaurant eating breakfast and reading. He took great joy in his two sons and his grandchildren, Henry and Merle and his friendship with his ex-wife, Debra.
While we take solace in the fact that Bill lived a great life, had amazing experiences and got to watch his children grow up - we only wish we had a little more time together. It's never enough. We will miss you terribly but also take heart in the fact that you are at peace. Thanks for all the wonderful memories which allow us to remember, laugh, cry and hold you forever close to us. We love you.
