Neil Chapman Loving Jr.

Neil Chapman Loving, Jr., age 65, died on Sunday, December 15, 2019 in Potsdam, New York, following a heartbreaking battle with lung cancer. He was born on March 11, 1954 in Baltimore, MD. the second child of the late Neil Chapman Loving, Sr. and late Doris Mae Loving.

Neil was a 1972 graduate of Lansdowne High School in Baltimore County, MD. He enlisted in the Navy in 1972 at the age of 18 in hopes of a lifelong career, following in his father's footsteps. He married Myrna Pabustan in 1978 and they were blessed with three children. Neil served in the Navy for 10 years; was trained as an electronic engineer and served on several aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf. After leaving the Navy, he worked on the Patuxent Naval Air Station Base in St. Mary's County, MD.

His hobbies included his favorite game of horseshoes, listening to music, following his nephew's baseball career, watching Fox News and listening or watching his Baltimore Orioles or Ravens games. He loved staying in touch with family and friends, both near and far, and he loved all his cats, especially Snow.

Surviving Neil is his wife Myrna, his son Robert John Loving, his daughter Michelle Loving Young (Chris), and his saving grace and best friend, Robin Gittings. He is also survived by six grandchildren - A'Jasa and Jo'Shelle Young and Trevor, Christopher, Nathan and Madden Loving - one sister Patricia Loving Pease and brother-in-law Robert John Pease, one niece Rachel Pease Mueck, two nephews Adam Robert and Dustin Neil Pease; four great nieces and nephews, Trent and Tucker Mueck and Isabella and Carter Pease. Also, one great aunt Nancy VanZandt of Burlington, WA. and countless cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his first-born son, Christopher Angel Loving, who passed on December 2, 2002.

Funeral arrangements begin on January 3, 2020 with a viewing from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA, 30188 and concluding with a military tribute at 1:00 pm at Georgia National Cemetary, 1080 Scott Hudgens Dr., Canton, GA. 30114.
