Joan M. Gray

She was born in Sunnyside on May 4, 1935.

Joan graduated from St. Jean Baptiste and received her nursing degree from St. Johns School of Nursing.

She was married to John S. Gray in September 1957.

Joan worked at Astoria General Hospital for 40 years as a registered nurse.

She had a passion for traveling, all things Disney, and spending time with her family.

She was survived by her children, Maureen, Kevin, Michael and Bryan, her 17 grandchildren, and one great grandson. She was predeceased by her husband John, her son Scott, her brothers Patrick and Bernard Maguire and her sister Kathleen Nagel.

Visiting hours will be on Friday, May 13, 2016 from 2 pm-5pm and 7 pm- 9am at Thomas Quinn Funeral Home, Astoria, NY. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 10 am at Old Calvary Cemetery, Woodside NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation.
