Carmine served from Jan 08, 1944 until being honorably discharged on May 07, 1946.
His military occupational specialty was a Scout. His Battles and Campaigns were in Central Europe Rhineland and he fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
Carmine known to his loved ones as “Uncle Charlie” was a selfless man who dedicated his life to helping and taking care of others. His passing marks the end of an era for the Prisco Family. He is the last of 15 children, 9 sisters Millie, Maggie, Agnes, Andreana, Rosie, Annie, his lifelong confidant, Fay, his twin sister, Vinci, Kitty and 6 Brothers, Leo, Sally, Tony, Fonzi, Charlie and Mickey, all born on 106th St and Pleasant Ave. in NYC, to his young parents Albert Prisco and Frances “Luisi” Prisco. He has left a great legacy of joy and laughter to all of his many nieces and nephews, some who have gone before him and his many grand and great nieces and nephews too. Uncle Charlie moved to Woodside in 1958 and was well loved by all of his wonderful neighbors and friends, especially his dearest friend Yan.
Uncle Charlie will be greatly missed by all, especially Celia and Anne Marie, but his family knows there is a Tremendous Celebration happening in Heaven tonight.
A reposing for Carmine will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kennedy-Roth Funeral Home, 41-45 58th Street, Woodside, NY 11377. A mass of christian burial will occur Monday, December 16, 2024 from 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, 58-02 Roosevelt Ave, New York, NY 11377. A laid to rest will occur Monday, December 16, 2024 from 12:15 PM to 1:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery - 1st Calvary, 34-02 Greenpoint Avenue, Long Island City, NY 11101.
